Geographical Sciences for the Environment and Health

The degree course in Geographical Sciences for the Environment and Health sets out to give the theoretical-methodological and applicative-instrumental skills for an analytical knowledge of the territory in the physical and anthropic elements characterising it, in order to support the strategic planning of activities. Based on an interdisciplinary approach, the course focusses particularly on environmental, socio-demographic and healthcare aspects for the purposes of highlighting the relationships between different situations and the aspects concerning the quality of life. Considerable importance is given to the analysis and processing of quantitative and qualitative data, both graphically and cartographically by means of GIS, which is increasingly in demand in the professional world.
